"He'll be using his eye, his taste, and his understanding of the culture." Jay-Z and Steve Stoute are joining forces to bring the needs of minority consumers to the forefront of the ad campaigns of major corporations. Sean Carter and Stoute are forming Translation Advertising, which will focus on helping marketers reach multicultural consumers. Stoute and Jay will be majority owners in this agency, which will be a part of Translation Consultation and Brand Imaging, which are in turn owned by the Interpublic Group of Companies. Brand Imaging and Translation Consultation have recently worked with companies like McDonald's and Reebok.

Mr. Carter was recently the President of Def Jam and Roc-A-Fella Records, but this new step puts him in previously uncharted waters. J-Hova has never had any problems with success however, and I expect him to be very fruitful in this new business venture.

XM Radio has finally made room for hip-hop. The addition of N.O.R.E. and Monie Love on satellite radio adds to the recent trend of hip-hop headliners garnering XM wavelengths with both Chamillionaire and Ludacris debuting their own radio shows recently.

N.O.R.E. has been slated to host a show entitled, "Militainment Radio with N.O.R.E." which will feature the Queens emcee on air with DJ EFN and Capone, who partnered with N.O.R.E to form the critically acclaimed duo CNN. The show can be caught on Wednesday's at 8:00 PM on channel XM 66 Raw. N.O.R.E. has described his show to be a mixture of "barbershop talk on the radio" with the hardcore hip-hop that CNN is known for.

Monie Love, the Philadelphia's on-air radio personality will be hosting her own show, which will debut Valentine's Day (February 14) at 6:00 PM on channel XM 65 The Rhyme. The Philly pioneer's show, "Ladies First Radio with Monie Love", has been described by the pioneer herself as an eclectic mix of '90s hip-hop and lessons regarding life and love.
