"Any nigga make it hot, get found in Vacant Lot."
Whatever Grease touches, whether its scoring films or producing tracks, can be basically guaranteed success.

With an impressive discography that is noted by key production credits on albums going up to six times platinum, Grease has had his fair share of success. As the genius behind the grit-and-grime sound heard in DMX's early work, this New York native is surely the new-age King Midas. Fuck gold, everything Grease touches goes platinum. You have been warned.

MTK: Dame Grease, who is your favorite artist that you've had the pleasure to work with?
Grease: Throughout my entire career? Wow, that's hard.  I fuck with Max B hard, he's my favorite artist, Max.

MTK: So, from your expert opinion do you think that Max B will be the next big thing?
Grease: Honestly, yeah his shit is hot, and I'm fucking with him so I'm going to make sure he's going to get that official platinum quality music, that star quality sounds. He's got his own crew and he ain't working with Vacant Lot, he's working with Grease, and I'm executive producing his next mixtape as well.

MTK: I know you came up really with DMX, any collaborations with X in the future?
Grease: I got a couple joints on X's new album, "One More Night", and then the joint with Freeway, so I mean I guess as an answer to your question, yeah, we're definitely working together.

MTK: I know you used to emcee, any chance we can hear you on the mic again soon?
Grease: That's a good point, I definitely want to talk about that, Dame Grease is a 100% more than just like a lame producer, I mean I manage, I'm a deal broker, a business man, I mean I used to emcee, but that's not all I do, and I'm not just a producer either.  I'm actually working on a deal right now with DJ Webster, I might not even do a beat, I mean, I'm actually just getting into developing my own distribution label. So I do a lot of things.

MTK: What do you prefer making hip hop tracks or scoring movies?
Grease: Creating is my favorite part of the business, because this business is my sport, you know? What I really get off to is making shit happen, its that spark of an idea and then making it come to life, I mean X's first album was an idea and now it's a classic. That's my motivation. You can't rest on the great things you've done, you just have to do more, never satisfied. Probably not. Believe it or not, I'm doing this rap album also, I mean not in a negative way, in a good way, not like a Kanye West bitch move shit, like just the creativity and the mind that I got, that's why I started rapping, I mean, when I got to creating songs, like the great songs on X's first album. Some of my ideas are a little to far out.

MTK: Are you saying you wrote a little bit for X?
I ain't going to say I ghostwrite, but we talked about concepts and stuff.

MTK: Is Donny Goines on your new album?
Grease: Donny's not on this, Donny is definitely down with grease, but Donny isn't on Goon Musik, but we all the same niggas in the studio and shit. The album is out of his lane, its not the lane of music that he does, like, I've got to keep the images separate, because we both have our own fan base, I mean what I do for hip hop, was I had to break boundaries and getting with Donny was one of them. I mean I had to get more into the lyrical hip hop side, I mean Donny ain't even need to be on the street shit he just has to keep it official.

MTK: Are you still cool with the Ruff Ryders fam? Swizz Beatz? Jada?
Grease: Um, believe it or not, me and Styles are on the phone almost every day. Me and Jada is actually cool, like at the Sheek release party we were just kicking it like, "Nigga, we've got to do what we've got to do."  I mean look forward to Jada and Grease in the studio. Actually, Swizz Beatz he don't like Grease, I mean he's cool when we see each other and it's like, "Hey". You know as far as any type of friends or work opportunities, I actually blocked all of their albums, like Cassidy and 'Shonda. I mean more power to him, blesses to him and more power to him. But niggas fuck with Grease. Actually, I'm more on that vibe, you're guaranteed to see a lot of differences with who I work with. Ill keep it 100 percent official. I fuck with who fucks with me, if you fuck with me I fuck with you. I keep it like that. If you notice songs and things I do, I mean you might hear a lot of me and Styles or Hell Rell and Max. I mean we're chilling, we're in the club, our kids play together in the park. You know.

MTK: Any last words, Grease?
Grease: Goon Musik on May 27th, MTV news heard the album yesterday and they was like "wow", they picture me in rap. Also, I'm not upset with people bombing "Lotzilla", I mean, the whole album is a movie, so it's just a clip from it. A lot of people hated on it, but its from a clip of a movie, its next level, its different, they just saw a clip but not the whole picture, you know. You can't just look at a little piece. I mean "Coke Talk" is a lot more explanatory. You know, I mean Goon chicks, Goon girls, I mean more than anything its what New York City is about. I ain't mad at anyone for bombing "Lotzilla", just wait, you'll see.
