Well well well, I guess Nas decided to get large on the mixtape circuit. But like a true fan, I understand that although most of his best "commercial" work was done on Illmatic, the brother is still relevant in today's hip-hop era. This song is classic Nas, telling a story, droppin' some knowledge, but at the same time tryin' to make the people shake they asses. Production is definitely hot, but should've made the hook a little catchier....The story is on point though. I wouldn't download this to my hard drive, but, I'd listen to it enough to memorize the words, Nas' material is his bread and butter. When he finally masters educating the masses with the same exact amount of commercial appeal, he will go down as one of hip-hop's hall of famers, if not achieved that status to date.
