WHAT: A 3-day Grand Opening Celebration for Urban Starzz, a one-stop-shop
Clothing store - which also features an elevated Barber Shop, a Spa style
Salon and a Tattoo and Piercing area located in a Soho Style loft in the Tremont section of the Bronx. Urban Starzz is the creation of local Bronx community leader April De Simone, who believes in making a difference and reinvesting back into the community; proceeds from the stores sales will be donated to Shooting Stars, a local charity. NY's #1 radio station, HOT 97 will have their promotional van outside of the store everyday giving away goodies and T-shirts tto the community as well as promoting the festivities at Urban Starzz.
On Thursday, June 5th at 1PM, former NY Knicks All Star John Starks and Deputy Bronx Borough President Earl Brown will be in attendance for the Ribbon Cutting ceremony to officially open the store.
On Friday, June 6th, 12PM - 2PM - Urban Starzz pays homage to the the Hip-Hop Culture with Rap Legend RAKIM, prolific Graffiti artist COPE 2, AMANDA DIVA, FRED DA GOD and DJ MOET. Cope 2 will showcase his skills by displaying some of his trademark artwork as well as airbrushing one-of-a-kind personalized tee- shirts for the community.

Urban Starzz is a Soho-style clothing store / Barber Shop hybrid that caters to all of the fashion needs of its clients by combining the latest in hip and chic apparel, exclusive footwear, a wellness spa, body art and salon all at one location. The store is the brainchild of community leader April De Simone. April has dedicated more than 10-years to launching not-for-profit ventures including Team M.V.P., a non-profit organization that provides inner city children with a variety of academic and athletic mediums. She has also worked hand in hand to implement community programs with The Bronx Borough Presidents office and the United States Department of Justice.
