Who doesn't love the beat for "Above The Clouds"? If you don't you a chooch, an ass, a donkey. Premier freaks that sample like he was born to do it and really the formula is very simple but no one else could pull it off. "Wild like rock stars who smash guitars". In a way this mixtape concept is very simple yet no one else has pulled if off. DJ A-Smooth stays with classic music on mixtapes. There have been some Premier instrumental mixtapes but that's about it. Now it's time to truly appreciate not only the Premier beats but the way the MCs added to that classic sound.
I love me a DJ Unexpected intro. I say that in the most heterosexual way possible too. For you developmentally disabled individuals the concept of this project is Busta and Ludacris being animated over some brolic ass blends by the DJs mentioned above. Busta Rhymes hosts too and well if there are any real "animated" MCs it's these two. Now we all know this dropped a while ago and I wasn't gonna review it initially because I never get to enjoy a mixtape like I used to so I was just listening and marinating with it. Hevehitta sent it in again and as a favor to him and the DJs (poof),...here is the review.
I don't like Lil Wayne as an MC and it has noting to do with the "fuck mixtape DJs" statement either. I just don't think he's worth the hype...lyrically, swag (I hate that term), content ect. I recognize his work ethic tho and can appreciate it but musically I'd rather clip my toe nails. BUT, when it comes to Weezy blendz I can at least listen and stomach some of the music.

The Evil Genius DJ Green Lantern Releases "Liberty City Invasion" Music From And Inspired By Grand Theft Auto IV, Takes Over Rock The Bells & Joins Nas' Jones Experience Tour.

Green Lantern initially came to prominence in the mixtape scene by consistently featuring exclusive self-produced music with hip-hop superstars like Jay-Z, The Beastie Boys, Mike Shinoda's Fort Minor, D-Block, Busta Rhymes, Mobb Deep and many more.

The Miami Herald has an extensive article about producer Scott Storch and his recent money problems, check it out below:
Occasionally people you get that mixtape that just fucks your head up. That shit that you think you won't like but it stays in the CD player/Ipod for weeks. I know what Dub Floyd and Hevehitta bring to the table mixtape wise but I've never been a big Kanye fan, I don't even thing I own a Kanye album to be honest. Let's fast forward to the end of the review...I'm a fan now.
Nino Bless is an MC's MC and New York is simmering with mad talent right now. They have been for a while now but that NYC MIC revolution/reinvention/reincarnation will not be done thru the mainstream. You will have to be one with the concrete to witness and experience it. The "microwave" (aka blogs) my get you heated up quick but it'll take sites like Rapmullet to get you fully baked. Do remember cause that's the truth...ruth.
