Hevehitta & DJ Unexpected - Year Of The Aftermath

Hevehitta and DJ Unexpected get no sleep and make it hard for other mixtape duos to sleep. When you wake up, theres a new tape. We've seen many kings throughout the year but I don't think any of them stand up to the Aftermath Kings. We've all hear about Detox, a new Eminem album, and the "Before I Self Destruct" 50 album. Well this year seems to be the starting point with December marking 50's supposed final album. Then into 2009, Eminem plans "Relapse" for early release. Soon after, hopefully, the myth that is "Detox" is scheduled to drop. If you want to have a future....you need to know your past. That's what Hevehitta & DJ Unexpected have done here. Before we can rise into the most anticipated albums perhaps of all time, we take a trip to the past.

It begins with an intro from DJ Unexpected consisting of multiple accapellas from Aftermath songs and blends them into a well sounding introduction of what the SEA nominee is all about. 50 Cent's "Life on the Line" originally came out as a Ja Rule diss. On this tape the unreleased version of it plays out more like a "How to Rob" joint with Fif taking shots @ Nas & Diddy. Before there was Jay-Z & Eminem on one joint, it was Royce & Em. The original "Renegade" sounds slightly better because it has more lyrical content that the Blueprint one lacks. Dre & E-A-Ski reveal their demonic sides on "Split Personality."

You can really understand why some tracks never made it out. "Count on Me" is a prime example of that. The chorus is horrible and it had to be real early in Game's career. Even though Eminem's demo tracks are rare and something good to have, they don't express the Eminem we all know and love.

Hevehitta and Unexpected are one of the hardest working duos for a reason. They put out a lot but it's got real good quality to the tapes. Not too many drops during the joints but you know it's a Heve & Un tape with the mixing. This tape deserves your 1 hour and 17 mins to listen. Especially if you are an Aftermath Fan. This marks the beginning of the Takeover....
