Mixtapekings.com is proud to present the "Top 50 Mixtapes of 2008". Usually, year end list are compiled by a secret committee that no one knows and frankly, no one gives a shit about. The alternative is a room full of know it alls who constantly speak about the critical acclaim of mixtapes without acknowledging what the people actually copped. Need less to say, this is something different. The Mixtapekings "Top 50" was created by using the consumers request when they purchased our signature sticker created by the mixtape graphic artist Def Tone. If the mixtape is in our Top 50, you dug it.....lol! I guess you could call it, "the peoples choice" (you're not getting a check Envy).
This years "Top 50" is a make up of the elite mixtape Dj's and an infusion of new blood. They (mixtapes) may never be what they were, but they are still here and our #1 was a significant voice in music this year. Who will be among them in 2009? .
