B Eazy is the new face of Hip Hop and is ready to take the rap industry to new heights. Not afraid to test limits, B Eazy is mastering the art of infusion; introducing music enthusiasts to an inimitable sound while maintaining the true essence of rap music.
Born as Marlon Lamar Burris on June 8, 1988 in East St. Louis, IL, B Eazy was introduced to a melting pot of tunes at an early age. Born into a musical family with a drummer as a father and an older brother who sings, music flowed through his veins upon arrival. Under his father's guidance, B Eazy took an early interest to many genres of music from old school R&B and Jazz to Country music. However, by the age of 6, B Eazy's ear for music leaned more towards rap and he realized his true passion was in Hip Hop music.
During his attendance of East St. Louis high school, B Eazy continued to develop his rhyming skills as a hobby. He kept his true talent hidden as his immediate focus was not on his long-term career but his short-term on the streets. Even so, in 2003 when his father went to prison, B Eazy soon realized his potential and shifted his focus on music solely - learning how to maximize on the relationships he made. In the streets, B Eazy met other Hip Hop heads such as producers and other rappers and even came across fully equipped studios that were not being used. He began mastering his craft and taking advantage of the connections he gained, eventually becoming good friends and valuable partners over time.
In 2006, B Eazy went on to attend Southwestern Illinois College to study Art. A man of many hats, B Eazy also had a natural talent for drawing. With his world shifting daily and his mind constantly on music instead of in the books, B Eazy decided to move full force with his rap career and a year later he signed to 365 Music Group.
Similar to his influencers such as Cash Money and Roc-A-Fella Records, B Eazy has never been one to follow a lane but always one to create his own. He started P.M.E. (Porsche Movement Enterprize) in 2009. Constantly focused on taking his talent to the next level, B Eazy's current mixtape "#ISWEARTOGOD" is buzzing throughout the Illinois streets and his next highly anticipated mixtape, "Dat Order: Ain't No Love in the City" is set to release in Summer 2011 - debuting with the first single "Countin' My Money." "Dat Order: Ain't No Love in the City" will showcase B Eazy's growth as a lyricist, painting vibrant pictures of street culture while appealing to a wide array of urban ears - raising the bar for the entire Midwest.
With a current roster of five artists under P.M.E such as Tre Block and T-Real, B Eazy is not only developing his career but jump-starting others simultaneously. B Eazy is beyond just another rap artist; he is building a brand all his own within the Hip Hop community.

Though fans wait with baited breath for Slaughterhouse to finally sign to Shady Records, Joe Budden has revealed that the two camps are busy recording in the studio.
Via his JoeBuddenOffTV youtube channel, Budden spoke about a new track Slaughterhouse is recording with Shady.
"I feel like it's not fair, because he can do so many different things with his voice," said Budden (presumably of Eminem), recording from the studio, while an unnamed beat played in the background. "Everybody did they verse already. Em did his verse first, Royce heard it first, did his second, then Crook did his, and them Em rewrote his."

With its street date barely over the halfway mark, Black Milk's Album of the Year is already charting at #5 on iTunes! Maybe you got your CD's from E1, maybe you didn't -- either way, FB is the only place you'll find the critically acclaimed Album on vinyl!
"Album of the Year offers up more of what made Black Milk buzzworthy. His samples are elegant, his rhythms challenging and his drum kits tight." - NPR
Rightfully cited as Detroit's best producer, Milk has his pick of any MC adjacent to the Great Lakes. And when he chooses to tap his contacts as on the Elzhi and Royce Da 5'9-featured "Deadly Medley" and the Danny Brown-aided, "Black and Brown," the results live up to his lofty aspirations. - LA Times

New York, NY (September 14, 2010) J.Period & Truelements Music are pleased to announce a groundbreaking new mixtape collaboration with Grammy-winners John Legend & The Roots, in support of their politically-charged and soulful new album, WAKE UP! (Available on Columbia Records, Sept. 21). In the collaborative spirit of this history-making LP, the mixtape's first single, "Our Generation (J.Period Remix)," reunites one of hip hop's most influential and important groups... Pete Rock & CL Smooth!
Inspired by artists like Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Nina Simone, and Donny Hathaway, John Legend & The Roots' WAKE UP! breathes new life into the soulful protest songs of the 60s & 70s, recalling an era when music stood at the forefront of the social movements that shaped America.
With John Legend & The Roots joining forces to propel political songs like Ernie Hines' "Our Generation" back into mainstream popularity, it was only fitting for J.Period to reunite the group that first sampled Hines' on their seminal '92 single "Straighten It Out"--artists from an era when hip hop carried its own social message--Pete Rock & CL Smooth. Back together on wax for the first time in 7 years, Pete & CL are in rare form on "Our Generation (J.Period Remix)," spitting conscious lyrics that remind us of hip hop's potential to move not only our feet, but our spirit.
