Cats are a dozen deep in this mutha fucka. That means it's Potent Product 12 people. What the fuck you want me to say that I haven't said already? If you do not listen to Diggz and Rated R on the Potent Product mixtapes then you're either a big homo or a douche bag...or both. What do cats listen to when there on the block getting coup money in couple days? A Potent Product
mixtape.
mixtape.

If you are a true mixtape head then you know the name Stimuli. The Brooklyn MC has been on too many mixtapes to name. What he's doing now is droppin "concept" mixtapes every month. Shout to DJ Victorious for sending me the previous joints. I was gonna try to wrap all these into one review but there's too much music for that. The first joint I peeped was "The Wire" with all joints inspired by the TV show. "Don't Come Out Side" with Cashmere is the stand out track off that project. Then the next one was "Love Jones". If you can't tell by the title it was a little something for the ladies but really it's that MIC versatility...peep "Up and Down" to hear what I mean. The next one was March On Washington and the political bars were flying like no other MC has done during this election year. Check out "Black President" with Skyzoo and you'll know what it is. Now were onto "The Secret".

You can tell Rhude is a student of the mixtape game. There was a time when a season would pass or a block buster movie wouldn't drop without a mixtape DJ not using it as a spring board for a new project. Think about it. Everyone knew GTA 4 was going to be the biggest video game release of the year and from what I've seen only Rhude and Big Mike have capitalized on it. Rhude with the more creative effort using a main character to "host" his project. Block Muzik is an entity now...see what happens when you play good muzik consistently?

Real spit, real talk, no bullshit, whatever you want to call it....there is an underground phenomenon going on in NYC and the east right now. MCs like Sic-o-cyrus, Skyzoo, Stimuli, Remo, Rated R, S-One, Sav Killz, Ransom, Termanology, Un Pacino and even Laz to name a few are being true to the legacy that is east coast MCing. Sic-Osyrus is still laying low on some cats radars but this project right here is wake up call or as I like to call it...a straight bitch slap to weak DJs everywhere.

J Ronin back up in this mutha fucka. He brought DJ Snips along for the ride on #9 and he's got Joell Ortiz hosting as well. The only thing he forgot was the kitchen sink. Seriously tho, I want the sink too. This might sound funny to you but "the net" is sleeping on J-Ronin. The streets...not so much.

DJ Nice is on a roll with the projects this year. First the Budden joint and now Joell...I see a pattern. Lol. No bullshit, I haven't taken this out of my ride in five days. I'm eating up the lyrics like it was a free Pizza Hut buffet. If it's one MC this year to bring the essence of hip hop music back its Joell Ortiz. Shout to DJ Nice and Legend for shinning the spotlight on an MC that deserves it. If you haven't figured it out by now this joint is all Joell...new shit, classic tracks and rare jewels that you more than likely slept on. Zzzz

The only "exclusive" mixtape series that matters. Well, at least for some east coast shit it is and the south joint ain't what they used to be either. I like how Rated R addressed the atrocity that was them not winning best underground mixtape DJs..."this shit speaks for itself". Yes it does homie and the Potent Product series stays crisp like an all white Lexus.

First off I'm not a Fat Joe fan, so him hosting is pointless to me cause he ain't been the same since "Flow Joe" in my eyes. He does his thing and he got his money when he switched his style up, I aint mad at it but I can't fuck with his new music like that. I understand the "beef" thing and it def raises the level of exposure but beyond that it's not necessary cause it always comes down to the music on the mixtape...not the next mans beef. Suge White gets it in so I'll listen regardless.

Pop-Off Productions is back at it again and shout to Don Notz for actually mixing these joints too. I'm doing two reviews in one this time so fuck it. Heirs to the Throne pretty much speaks for itself and the Prodigy joint just compliments it perfectly as well as the HNIC 2 album dropping on the today, I believe. I don't know about you, but I'm actually going to BUY the Prodigy album. It's like cats are broke now and think music is free. No C4 group rips for me...you cheap bastards!
