DJ Lust - Holloween Havoc

| | Comments (0)

Halloween right around the corner people. I know some of ya'll used to go snatch lil kids candy bags man. Don't front....either that or you got your candy took! It's the race to break the Jay Z leak. Well the first CD I got with em was this joint right here. See now the hard part is to build around those joints. Most DJs is coming predictible aka what was online at the time. Lust looks like he got a few of those but he got that "other" shit too. If you want to know what that "other" shit is you gonna have to listen for yourself playboy's and girls.

Jay Z said show em what you got. Every time I hear this I hear Wrecks-n-Effect: "check baby, check baby one two." When you hear about MCs saying cats is co-signing bullshit this is one of those songs they talking about. I'm not a hater...just a realist with this music. The hype is not real people. "Take off the blazer and loosen up the tie", wow. On to some real shit. Young Dro just ate Diddy alive on the "We Fly High" remix. Young Dro is a problem for T.I, don't get it fucked up. Normally playing the same song back to back is a no no but the Reggaeton remix to "We Fly High" should be the official joint. I don't speak much spanish but the beat is hard white. (sniffs) You know why I fuck with Jim Jones? Cause he drops CDs like cats drop mixapes and he always got tight production with some fly shit over it. Wasn't really diggin' the beat for the "Alarm" freestyle but I can dig where he coming from. Of course you got Ransom on the CD, "Punishment" is just that. Ran def getting his Marlo Stanfield on right now. Best G Unit track out right now is "You Don't Know". I'm still not totally sold on Cashis tho, he didn't stand out like I thought he would. My track tho was "What Police Can Do". Styles P ridin' along with that hook is crazy and I still got love for J Hood (no homo). "Tales From the Hood Coming Soon!! lol. Best Byrd gang song out right now is "Blow"; that's that mixtape shit right there. Sleeper track is "What Makes A Man", the vocal sample annoys mildly but the rhyme is hard body.

I'm telling ya'll man. If you remember how Clue used to rock tapes back in the day with his tag line he used in between the music its the same kinda shit with Lust. It's not the same type of tag but it's the same vibe you get as it compliments the music. Plus Lust gives you a lil personality on the CD, that shit to make shook cats flinch. With exclusives it ain't about the mixing it's about how you present the tracks back to back. Some DJs got it and some don't. Who would think a simple tag or drop could make a CD but it does. Lust on his way people. I still like the complete artist mixtapes better but he gonna do what he do regardless.

DJ Deals & DJ Diggz Title: Far Rocks Finest

| | Comments (0)

Ahhhh shit.....Far Rockaway in the building. Riot Squad, Hard White, Stack Bundles, Un Pacino, H Brando to name a few. It's truly that crack music, that shit to make you rob, steal, smack a bitch, sell ya moms sofa, steal from her purse and then wreck her car. Diggz is on his g-rind in the fourth quater along with DJ Deals. I honestly can't remember when the last time a mixtape DJ showed love to the whole Far Rock but I will tell you this; they got hella talent and they will stick you for your re-up.

I said it before; "I Don't Feel That Ni99a" by Hard White is that slow flow anthem. Un Pacino beating the shit outta the beat for "Move Around", it's a straight head nod. I know you heard "Grammy Fam" by the Riot Squad. That shit is classic mixtape material. Same is true for "Sucker For Love". Stack Bundles owned this beat while he breaks down these hoe loving cats out here. If it's one cat who can make the beat for Yung Joc's "Its Going Down" sound fresh it's Un Pacino. Peep the H Bando freestyle, he got a flow on this joint that will shoot ya shoes off. He said "told you to bring some heat / you showed up with detectives". If you looking for those wity punch lines "On Fire" got that and the beat is some old Nor Easter type shit. The sleeper track is Cau2g on "6 Feet Deep"; he flipped a nice little concept with this track.

I def heard 90% of the tracks on the CD, it still pops off tho. The whole project is full of sleeper tracks if you ask me, that most of these other mixtape DJs slept on. Theres much talent in NYC people but when I think of Far Rockaways finest I think of blue collar MCs that aint affraid to put in that work. MCs that really live what the spit and actually get caught up in that shit. There aren't any radio hits on this CD, just that raw uncut coke that hits ya brain like only a Far Rock MC can.
